Augmentin
Augmentin (Amoxicillin) is applied in cases of internal infections.
Augmentin is implied in cases when there is a medical necessity in fighting amoxicillin-sensitive micro organisms that lead to infections. The list of infections susceptible to Augmentin features various infections of the middle ear, larynx (laryngitis), bronchi, throat, tonsilis, lungs (pneumonia), urinary tract, and the skin. Amoxil may also be prescribed by your doctor for treating gonorrhoea.
How Taken
Augmentin is manufactured in the form of capsules, chewable tablets or dry powder with 125, 200, 250 or 400 mg of Amoxicillin per package. The daily dosage of Augmentin depends upon the kind, severity and persistence of the infection. In adults use 250 mg with the interval of 8 hours, 500 mg with the interval of 8 hours, 500 mg with the interval of 12 hours,or 875 mg every 12 hours.

Augmentin belongs to the group of antibiotics called penicillins. Augmentin helps treating diverse types of bacteria, such as H. influenzae, N. gonorrhoea, E. coli, Pneumococci, Streptococci, as well as some strains of Staphylococci.
